A ceremonial dance was a feature enjoyed by about 300 people attending the Warralong Sports Carnival in mid-July.
The Carnival was the second Western Desert League competition for the year, following the season-opener held in Parnngurr in May. Football and Softball competitions involving up to five teams playing round-robin matches before a series of finals have featured higher quality, and more intense encounters played in good spirit.
Following the Parnngurr Carnival, a squad was selected to play in the Western Desert Shield game at Subiaco Oval.
